Who we are

Pan Buns is a family run bakery in Ashgrove, trading since 2016 and selling from one counter. You can reach us at hello@panbuns.com, which is the address for anything in this document.

Using this website

Everything here is written in good faith and kept current. The menu changes when the recipes change, and prices on this site are the prices at the counter on the day it was updated. If you see a difference between this website and the board in the shop, the board in the shop is right.

The words, the drawings and the layout of this site belong to us. Please do not republish them as your own. The methods in the notes are another matter entirely: use them at home, teach them to somebody, write them on the inside of a cupboard door. That is what they are for.

Availability

We bake a fixed amount each morning and sell until it is gone. Nothing on this site is a promise that a particular item will be there when you arrive. Each part of the menu tells you what tends to run out first, which is the best we can honestly do.

Pre orders

A pre order exists once we have replied to confirm it. An email from you that we have not answered is not yet an order, so if you have not heard back within a working day, chase us.

We ask for two days notice for anything more than about six items. Collect before we close on the day. If a pre order is not collected by closing we may sell it, and we will not charge you for it, but we would rather you told us than left us guessing.

We do not take a deposit for counter pre orders. For a very large order we may ask for one, and we will say so plainly at the time.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds and include VAT where it applies. We take card and cash at the counter. Prices change when our costs change, which is usually once a year, and we do not announce it.

Allergens and ingredients

Every item lists what it contains and we keep those lists accurate. What we cannot do is guarantee the absence of anything, because it is one kitchen and wheat flour is in the air all day. If your reaction is serious, tell us before you buy so we can talk it through with you.

If a recipe changes, this website changes with it on the same day.

Classes

A place is confirmed when it is paid for in full. Prices are per place, except the The Family Bun Class, which is priced per adult and child pair.

Cancel or move with seven days notice and you get a full refund or another date, whichever you prefer. Inside seven days we will offer the place to the waiting list, and refund you if somebody takes it. If nobody does, we cannot refund it, because the ingredients were bought and the place was held.

If we cancel a class, you get a full refund and first refusal on the next date, and we will tell you as soon as we know. Classes run with a minimum of four people and we will move you if a date falls below that.

You need to be able to manage stairs, or tell us beforehand so we can arrange something. Children in the family class need an adult with them at all times. We may ask somebody to leave a class if they are unsafe around a hot oven or sharp knives, which has not happened yet.

Gift vouchers

Vouchers are valid for twelve months from the date they are bought. They cannot be exchanged for cash and they cannot be replaced if lost, in the same way a bank note cannot. Class vouchers name a class, and the person holding it books their own date with us.

Wholesale

Trade accounts run on separate terms agreed in writing when the account is opened. The wholesale page describes how it works in practice. Nothing on this website is a standing offer to supply anybody.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, and nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Beyond that, this website is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and we cannot promise it will never be wrong or never be offline.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last moved. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
