What we do with your details

This website

These pages are plain files. We set no cookies, run no analytics, and load nothing from anywhere else. The fonts, the drawings and the small piece of code that opens the menu on a phone are all stored here. There is nothing on this site that reports back to us or to anybody else about your visit.

The company that hosts the site keeps standard server logs, which record things like the address your request came from, the page asked for and the time. That happens for every website and is used to keep the server running and secure. We do not read them for any other purpose.

The contact form

The form on the contact page does not send anything anywhere. When you press the button it builds a message and opens your own email program with it ready. Nothing leaves your device until you send it yourself, and we do not see anything you typed and then decided against.

When you email us

We hold your name, your email address and whatever is in the message. We use it to answer you and for nothing else. If it turns into an order or a class booking we keep it until that is done and settled. If it is a one off question we clear it out within about a year.

Class bookings

For a class we keep your name, your email, the date you booked and anything you have told us about allergies or dietary needs, because we need that at the bench. Payment is taken at the counter or by bank transfer. We do not see or store card details at any point.

Dietary and allergy information is used for your class and then deleted afterwards.

Wholesale accounts

For a trade account we keep business contact details and a record of what was ordered and invoiced. Invoicing records are kept for six years because tax rules require it.

What we never do

We will never send you anything you did not ask for. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anybody, except where the law obliges us to, and we do not use what you tell us to advertise at you anywhere.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@panbuns.com and we will do it, normally within a week and always within a month. It is a small enough operation that this is a conversation rather than a process.

If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first and give us a chance to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the data protection regulator.

Children

The The Family Bun Class is booked by an adult, and we only hold the child's first name and anything we need to know about allergies. We do not hold anything else about children.

Changes to this policy

If this changes we will update this page and change the date at the top. There is no version buried somewhere else that says something different.
