Four classes, taught upstairs in the room above the counter
Six or eight people, hands on for the whole time, and everything you make goes home with you. Prices run from forty five pounds for the family class to eighty five for the sourdough morning. No certificate at the end, and nobody demonstrating at the front while you watch.

What happens on the dayHow to get a place
Email hello@panbuns.com with the class you want and roughly when suits you. We will send back the next dates with space on them. Places are paid in full at the point of booking, because the flour and the fillings are bought for your bench specifically.
Give us seven days notice and you can move to another date or have the money back, whichever you would rather. Inside seven days we will try to fill your place from the waiting list, and if we manage it you get a refund. If we do not, we cannot give the money back, which we know is annoying and is the only way a class this small works.
If we cancel, for illness or an oven that has stopped in the night, you get everything back and first refusal on the next date.
Vouchers
Class vouchers are written out for a named class and last twelve months from the day they are bought. The person receiving it books their own date with us directly. There are counter vouchers too, from ten pounds upwards, which work on anything on the menu.
Worth knowing before you book
- The classroom is up one flight of stairs and there is no lift. Tell us if that is a problem and we will work something out downstairs where we can.
- You will be standing for most of the class, with a stool available.
- Wheat, milk, egg, soya, sesame and peanuts are all in the room. If any of those are a serious allergy, please talk to us before booking rather than after.
- Aprons and boxes are provided. Bring nothing except sleeves you can push up.
- We can take the whole class as one private group. Same price per head, same dates.
If you would rather just read
Most of what we teach is written down and free. There are eight notes covering proofing dough in a cold kitchen, kneading by hand, folding a bun, steaming without a bamboo basket and freezing and reheating buns. The classes are worth the money because somebody is watching your hands, not because the information is secret.
